Olorogun Oskar Ibru

Oskar Ibru a scion of the famous Ibru family was born in Lagos on the 11th of August, 1958. He was admitted into Igbobi College in 1970 and left in 1975. Oskar has always been a sportsman all-rounder right from Igbobi College where he played football, table tennis, cricket and hockey as well as the high jump. On arrival in the UK, he became a major athlete in his A’Level school. He even received several mentions in the local newspaper for winning prizes, particularly in the area of rugby and football. He then proceeded to the University of Atlanta, University Graduate School of Business Administration where he obtained a combined honours B. A Hons. in Management/American History. He achieved a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) between 1981 and 1983.

Oscar is the Group Executive Director of IBRU ORGANIZATION, participating in the Decision Making Processes of several companies involved in Fishing, Oil Finance & Banking, Construction and Agriculture. Other companies in the Group include: Ibru Sea Foods Limited Thru Merchandize 33 Limited. Superbru Limited, Stim Properties Limited, Queens Petroleum Limited, Emsee Shipping Line Limited, Atlantic Estates, Waskar Limited Spibat Limited and ACE Jimona Limited. Olorogun Oscar is on many Company Boards including as Chairman of WASCAP PETROLEUM LIMITED. He is a Member, Governing Council of the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping. He has been a Member, Board of Directors of the Voice of Nigeria. A Special Marshall, Federal Road Safety Commission. Commissioner, Boys Scout of Nigeria, Lagos (Special Duties) Lagos State Headquarters.

He has obtained many awards including, Award of Excellence by Rotary International District 9110 (2002). Niger Delta Role Model Award by Niger Delta Union, (2003), African Role Model Leadership Gold Award for Excellence (2004) ,Maritime Award - The Best Private Jetty Operator (2005), Apapa Industrialist of the year (2005), Pan African Ethics Golden Award for Inspirational Leadership (2006), Nigeria Chamber of shipping - Maritime Personality of the year (2006). Olorogun holds many other titles including Ochuko Ro'vie of Agbarha-Otor, Ugelli North, Delta State (2002). Odomese of Olomu Kingdom, Ugelii South, Delta State (2002). Otunba Boyejo of Ijebu-land (2006). Olorogun Oskar, C.J. Ibru is a philanthropist of note. He is an active member of his set and has given of his time and resources towards the set projects including huge donations to the medical concerns of old Igbobians. Oskar is a politician in the mold of his family in Delta State, and desires to serve his people some day in an Administrative capacity.
